Morris Police Department


The Police Sergeant must be well-rounded with Integrity, Respect, Knowledge, and Positivity.  This position is responsible for the supervision of personnel and the administrative duties for an assigned unit, section and/or team including the coordination of equipment and staffing.  Works closely with the Chief of Police.  This is a LELS union position.

Requirements:  P.O.S.T. licensed, 6 years of law enforcement experience and supervisory experience.  Bachelor’s Degree with major course work associated to law enforcement is desirable but not required.  Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying.

2020 fiscal year salary is $72,492.
