APRIL 2, 2018

The Board of Review was called to order at 5:15 p.m. this 2nd day of April, 2018, by Mayor Giese in the Council Chambers of the Morris Senior Citizens/Community Center. Present were Council members Wohlers, Solvie, Gullickson, Miller and Mayor Giese. Also present was City Manager Hill, City Assessor Swanson, Deputy Assessor Michaelson and Deputy Assessor Rengstorf.

Swanson stated there were 87 sales and new construction of $3.8 million. 32 residential parcels were improved or updated.

Swanson noted there was a 10% average increase in values. The one area that went up a lot was the townhomes. Swanson indicated they went up 15% and they will probably go up another 15% next year because they’re selling for good money.

Wohlers asked about the trailer that was parked at East Side Park and if the band shell was being sided. The council was concerned because there had been discussions not to put regular siding on the bandshell.

There being no further business, the Board of Review was adjourned at 5:22 p.m.
