The Board of Review was called to order at 5:15 p.m. this 1st day of April, 2019, by Mayor Giese in the Council Chambers of the Morris Senior Citizens/Community Center. Present were Council members Wohlers, Solvie, Miller and Mayor Giese. Council member Gullickson was absent. Also present was City Manager Hill, City Assessor Swanson, Deputy Assessor Michaelson and Deputy Assessor Rengstorf.

Swanson stated there were 96 residential sales, 4 commercial and 4 residential vacant lot sales. New construction consisted of 28 parcels for just over $2.1 million. Swanson indicated of those 11 were commercial, 15 residential and 2 exempt properties. They visited over 400 parcels in the past year.

Swanson noted there was a 5% to 15% average increase in values depending on the neighborhood. Townhomes saw the biggest increase.

Swanson stated he heard from the owner of the Shopko building and they have a couple people who have expressed interest in the property.

There being no further business, the Board of Review was adjourned at 5:23 p.m.
